I'm thrilled to have you here, whether you're just starting your teaching journey or you're a seasoned pro. There's a wealth of resources waiting for you to explore and integrate into your unique teaching style.
The title of week's flow was from a story about my kids that ended up weaving beautifully into the overall theme of the class. It not only brought smiles to my students' faces but also sparked some meaningful conversations. Many of my students have shared how much they enjoy hearing stories about my kids—it makes the practice feel more relatable and real to them.
Here’s what we focused on in this week’s flow:
Flow Breakdown: I can’t emphasize enough how important the flow breakdown is. We dissected the two sequences I taught and explored how they merged into a powerful, cohesive super flow by the end. This flow incorporates some unique movements, with a strong emphasis on maintaining an even balance of effort across both sides of the body.
Creating an Infinity Flow: I had an inspired moment during class where I transitioned into an infinity flow—moving seamlessly from one side to the other without a chaturanga or vinyasa in between. I'll share my secret for how I can transform almost any flow into an infinity flow.
Dynamic Abs & Backbends: The infamous "abs & backbends" portion of class took on a dynamic twist, with movements choreographed to rise and fall with the music’s crescendo. Today, I'll break down exactly how this looked in class and how you can bring this energy into your own sessions.
